What do you love most about your job?
I love that I will get the opportunity to shadow, learn, and practice new skills. I am excited to be working with this population and am hoping to gain confidence in myself and my social work abilities.

Why Persevere?
I wanted an internship that would expose me to a population that I had never had the opportunity to work with before and I wanted to use my passion for people and justice.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a cake decorator, a teacher, and a journalist.

Looking back on your life, who or what makes you instantly light up?
Probably my adventures, like being a camp counselor or studying abroad in England and attending a writing program in New York.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Remember, it is only temporary.

Describe your perfect day.
I would wake up in the mountains in my tent and spend the day doing things that refuel me. I would read a book, play games with family, spend time writing and thinking, and end the night around a campfire making smores.

What are you most proud of about yourself?
I am proud that I always follow my dreams. When I decide that I want something, nothing and no one can get in my way.

I love New Girl, it is my go to TV show.

Do you have any pets?
I have a cat named Bender and a bird named Frankie. My other cat Thunder, passed away earlier this year, he is in my heart everyday.
